
Taking complete control of your online store shouldn't be a daunting
experience, and so we have written the GetSelling software with
the store owner in mind. We understand the importance of time
management and how it would be impossible to juggle regular business
with the online business if it wasn't as simple as possible. We
also understand that the best way to sell a product is to promote
the product as much as possible, and to that end we have developed
a series of internal promotional tools that will help you to inform
your customers of the best deals, the best products and the best
prices.

The currency manager allows your customers to select an additional
currency (from a maximum of ten currencies by default) to display
alongside your local currency. If your store attracts customers
from other countries, you don't want them to have to leave your
store to perform a currency conversion.
Once your customer has placed an order with your store, they receive
a unique tracking URL by email and on their "thank you"
page. This URL contains their full order and can be viewed by
them at any time, including a realtime order status. When their
order status changes they will automatically be sent an email
to let them know, including a reminder link to their order tracking
URL. The status choices can be tailored to suit your own store.
Total control over your products using a database system with
up to 20 customisable fields as well as the typical fields of
category, product name, shipping cost, item cost, description
and images. We will advise you on the best way to utilise the
additional user fields. The database system allows you to quickly
add and edit products without having to know HTML coding.
With the Dynamic Pages feature you can easily add new pages to
your site and edit existing pages to include new or updated content.
The built in WYSIWYG editor makes it easy to create and edit pages
with easy to use icons controlling all aspects of the process.
The best way to encourage customers to spend at your store is
to entice them in with your best, or most marketable, products.
The Featured Products area of the store admin allows you to select
which products you want to feature on the front page and, as everything
happens in realtime, they can be changed as often as desired.
You may have products that you want to push to your customers,
depending on which product they are currently viewing and the
Forced Selling feature allows you to do exactly that. Partner
up a DVD recorder with a widescreen television to recommend an
additional purchase to your customer. You may also want to include
a discounted price to entice them further.
Complete control over your product navigation - choose to either
use the category name itself or provide a "friendly name"
instead such as "Books by Terry Pratchett" rather than
"terry_pratchett_books". Additional HTML coding can
also be added to include bold type, typeface colour changes etc
If you already have your own merchant account then you are already
to take orders online without any additional setup or administrative
delays. If you do not already have a merchant account, our software
is ready to use Authorize.Net, LinkPoint, PayFlow, PayPal, WorldPay
and AgoraPay. We also support PayPal subscriptions for monthly
payment plans or subscription services.
Our Product Add and Product Edit pages are easily customisable
for any of the 20 available user fields. All aspects of adding
and editing products are controlled through these screens from
product category, product name, shipping cost, item cost, available
options (colour, size etc).
The best person to sell your products is someone who has already
purchased them and can testify to the quality of the items. Your
GetSelling store comes complete with customer review functionality
so that anyone can submit their review and, pending your approval,
have their review displayed on the "more info" page
for that product.
The best way to advertise a new line of products on your store,
or an end of line sale, is to display a collection of products
on all pages at all times. The Product Rotation module randomly
selects from a set of ten products (which are selected through
the admin area) and displays the product name, thumbnail image
and price. You can have up to FIVE different schemes on each page
at any time, eg: "New Releases", "Sale Items",
"Our Recommendations" etc
Perhaps the best way to advertise your store is to allow your
customers to do it for you. The Recommend A Friend feature lets
your customers send a direct link of your product to a friend's
email address. The recipient's email includes a note of who sent
the recommendation and a link to the specific product on your
store. An excellent way to spread the word!
Maximise the potential of your store by changing the entire look
in one easy step! Whether you want your store to adopt a Christmas
layout, a Halloween layout, Valentines Day layout or even a layout
geared specifically towards one particular new product, the Skin
Manager makes it as easy as two clicks of a mouse!
The GetSelling software has a unique subcategory handling module
that works in three simple steps - build the categories, build
the category holding pages (with thumbnail icons for each subcategory)
and build the menu structure itself. Very simple to use and incredibly
effective.
The Top Ten Sellers module is typically displayed on the top right
of the store to draw the customer's attention directly there.
The list is best controlled by the store owner to promote the
items that give the best financial return, or have an excess of
stock.
